Marilyn Rodríguez-González was born in New York where she graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice, Cum Laude. She is the recipient of an Academic Honors Paralegal Certificate from North Harris College, Houston, Texas which set in motion her second career as a Paralegal.
Marilyn began her professional experience in 1980, as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the New York City Police Department.
From 1982-1998, she worked as a Primary/Secondary Educator for the Archdiocese’s of New York, Florida, and Virginia.
From 1998-2002, she was an Accounts Receivable Specialist/Inside Sales Manager for VIDAR Systems Corp., Herndon, Virginia.
Marilyn relocated to Houston, Texas in 2002 where she became employed as a Paralegal for the Business Litigation Division of the City of Houston, Attorney’s Office.
Presently, she is a Senior Paralegal in Houston, Texas for Mark Conrad, Attorney at Law, PC which specializes in Federal Employment Law. She is also a co-founder of the Law Enforcement Officers Advocates Council, a national non-profit law enforcement advocacy organization based in California.

Marilyn is married to Ruben E. González, Sr. Their grown children are: Eliza González-Harris, Medical Assistant married to Sgt. Michael James Harris; both are currently pursuing careers in Law Enforcement and Ruben E. Gonzalez, Jr., a senior and Criminal Justice Major at Sam Houston State University who is also pursuing a career in Law Enforcement upon his graduation in August 2009.
